Located in Fairfax County, Fairfax Station is a bedroom community for many who work in the federal government. The town grew around the original Fairfax Station, a rail line hub constructed in the mid-1850’s. After the station closed in 1973, a group of Fairfax Station real estate owners organized a reconstruction of the station which now houses a museum and community center.
Money Magazine named Fairfax Station as one of the “Best Places to Live” in 2005.
